We are a group of enthusiastic and patriotic women working together to make a difference. We share a common heritage as descendants of those who helped achieve American independence. We celebrate our heritage and the many wonderful historical resources here in Florida's capital. We welcome all women aged 18 and over who share our heritage and who desire to enhance our community to join us.
Our 2011-2013 theme is:
Preserve the Past, Enhance the Present, Invest in the Future
We are very service oriented and patriotic!
Through numerous committees, we serve. Our service includes:
* Helping the needy
* Promoting literacy through our support of the local Teenage Pregnancy program (TAP) by donating books to children of young mothers.
* Sponsor Good Citizen essay contests in local schools with focus on patriotic themes
* We sponsor local educators with materials and recognize outstanding teachers of American History.
* Contribute to national causes such as scholarships, American Indians causes, historic preservation of valuable resouces at our national headquarters including our vast research library facility and museum.
* We learn together as we fellowship each month (September - May).
* Making a difference in many ways!
